by Side with the Messiah Truth Project: Calling on the DOJ to
Investigate Gibson Film
FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The
International Society for Sephardic Progress commends the
Messiah Truth Project, Inc. for their decision to call
upon the U.S. Department of Justice to Evaluate Mel Gibson's "The
Passion of the Christ" for Violations of Hate Crime Statutes.
The film is designed to make the Jews look as a body of pariahs;
the subjectivity Mr. Gibson put into the film strikes up the root
cause of 2000 years of anti-Jewish hatred which led to such extremes
as the Catholic Inquisition in Spain and the expulsion of 300,000
Jews from Iberia in the 15th century.
Thus,
we wish to express our utmost support to the Messiah Truth Project,
and we conjointly call upon the DOJ as well as the Attorney General
to investigate this film as a mitigating factor for many of the
anti-Semitic attacks which have occurred in the last few weeks.
